KIDS CLASSES
SBG Moray: Coaching the Next Generation
At SBG Moray, we offer fun, safe, and professional coaching for kids as young as 5 years old. Our programs focus on developing key skills like strength, balance, agility, coordination, and teamwork in a welcoming environment.
Our experienced coaches ensure every class is engaging and age-appropriate. Here’s what we offer:
Kids & Teens Freestyle Wrestling
Tuesdays:
4:00–4:45 PM (Ages 7–9)
5:00–6:00 PM (Ages 7–9)
Coach: Nico Cojocaru, a former Commonwealth Games competitor and world-ranked #5 wrestler.
Freestyle wrestling is an Olympic sport where participants learn safe takedowns and pins through games, drills, and supervised sparring. No special equipment is needed.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)
BJJ is a grappling-based sport that focuses on controlling opponents on the ground using technique and leverage. It’s also an excellent way to learn self-defense.
Level 1: Introduction
Thursdays 4:00–4:45 PM (Ages 5–7)
Kids learn basic positions and techniques through fun games and drills in a 10-week cycle.Level 2: Intermediate
Thursdays 5:00–5:45 PM (Ages 7–9)
Builds on Level 1, introducing more techniques and supervised practice with partners. This class follows a 26-week curriculum.Level 3: Advanced
Mondays & Wednesdays 5:00–6:00 PM (Ages 9–14)
Focuses on advanced techniques and concepts, preparing children to transition to adult classes by age 14. This program runs on a 40-week curriculum.Students are graded through the IBJJF belt system.
Equipment: Gi and belt required for grading.
Our club is registered with the UKBJJA, ensuring high child protection standards.
Kids MMA
Saturdays 11:00 AM (Ages 9–14)
Mixed Martial Arts combines striking and grappling skills, including wrestling, BJJ, and Muay Thai/Kickboxing. Kids learn through structured drills, bag work, and games.
